'BNP vows to uphold spirit of July Uprising'
Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) vows to uphold the spirit of the July uprising said Narayanganj-1 MP Mostafizur Rahman Bhuiyan Dipu.
He came up with the remarks while addressing a rally brought out in Rupganj marking the historic July Mass Uprising Day on Friday.
The entire Rupganj area turned into a festive sea of people as a huge number of leaders and activists and common people attended the rally. The leaders and activists were adorned with party flags, festoons and various placards in memory of the martyrs of the July Uprising.
Speaking the rally, MP Mustafizur Rahman Dipu Bhuiyan said, "We must not forget the sacrifices and martyrdoms of our small children and youths. We promise that we will always stand by those whose blood we have gained this freedom and appreciate their sacrifice."
The MP recalled the sacrifices of the martyrs of the July Uprising and called on the leaders and activists to continue working unitedly to protect democracy.
Narayanganj District BNP former General Secretary Golam Faruk Khokon, Upazila BNP President Mahfuzur Rahman Humayun, General Secretary Bashiruddin Bachchu, Narayanganj District BNP Convener Sharif Ahmed Tutul, Mahabubur Rahman, Ashraful Haque Ripon, Anwar Sadat Sayem and others spoke at the event.
