A simple appeal from a mother during a routine inspection has led to a practical, family-friendly upgrade at the Indian Visa Application Centre (IVAC), underscoring the responsive, people-centric ties between India and Bangladesh. During his initial inspection of the visa processing facility, Indian High Commissioner Dinesh Trivedi was approached by a mother requesting a safe, designated play space for young children accompanying their parents through the application process.

Moving swiftly from concept to completion, the new facility was made operational within just a few weeks. In a symbolic gesture, the mother returned to the centre alongside her child to officially inaugurate the very play area her request had inspired. While modest in physical scale, diplomatic officials noted that the quick turnaround reflects a broader commitment to timely execution and public utility.

Initiatives of this nature continue to highlight the fundamental driver of India-Bangladesh relations: direct, community-level engagement and goodwill.
