Anika Ibnat Tuba Honored as 'Best Reporter' at TRUB Business & CSR Award 2025
Journalist Anika Ibnat Tuba, a reporter at Dainik Barta, has been honored with the 'Best Reporter' award at the TRUB Business & CSR Award 2025 in recognition of her professionalism and contribution to journalism.
The award was presented at a ceremony held on May 5, 2026, at the Crystal Ballroom of the Hotel InterContinental Dhaka in Shahbag, the capital. However, Tuba was in the United States at the time and was unable to attend the ceremony. She later returned to Bangladesh and formally received the award on July 28, 2026.
Organized by the Television Reporters Unity of Bangladesh (TRUB), the award recognizes individuals and organizations for their contributions to journalism, business, corporate social responsibility, and other fields.
The TRUB Award is regarded as a notable recognition in Bangladesh's journalism sector. Winners are selected based on professional excellence, quality of reporting, significance of subject matter, and contributions to journalism. A jury comprising experienced journalists and professionals from relevant fields evaluates the nominees to ensure merit-based selection across different categories.
After receiving the award, Tuba said, "This recognition will inspire me to work harder and contribute even more to journalism. I am sincerely grateful to the officials and members of TRUB for this honor."
The 'Best Reporter' recognition is being regarded as an important milestone in Tuba's 8 years of journalism career, acknowledging her professional contribution and commitment to reporting.
