The meeting was chaired by Bangladesh Rowing Federation President Shoeb Chowdhury. Key leadership members were in attendance, including Vice Presidents Khurshid Alam, Dr. A. F. M. Razu, and Jahangir Alam, Secretary Sarfuddin Ali, Treasurer Al Amin Chowdhury, and Advisor Md. Risham, alongside nearly all executive committee members.
During the session, the committee finalized a comprehensive five-year action plan aimed at transforming the federation's infrastructure and competitive reach. Central to the strategy is a resolution to make the Bangladesh Rowing Federation fully technology-driven, adopting modern sports technology to enhance administrative efficiency and athlete training.
The federation reaffirmed its commitment to regular participation in national and international events. Key decisions were taken to guarantee the federation's representation in upcoming major international events, including the Asian Cup and the World Congress. Attendees emphasized that active involvement in prestigious domestic and global tournaments is crucial for strengthening the country's image on the international stage.
The proceedings opened with an expression of concern regarding the Bangladesh cricket team's disappointing defeat against Australia, underscoring the urgent need for structural development across all sports disciplines in the country.
Additionally, the committee expressed unanimous support for the peaceful, successful execution of the upcoming elections declared by the government, pledging complete consensus toward maintaining stability and democratic process.
