BU welcomes freshers, bids farewell to graduates
In a festive and joyous atmosphere, an orientation and farewell ceremony for BBA and MBA students was organized by the Department of Business Administration at Bangladesh University (BU). The event aimed at welcoming the freshers and bidding farewell to the graduating students was held on Monday at the university auditorium.
Organized in collaboration with the Bangladesh University Business Club, the ceremony officially welcomed the freshers of the 73rd and 74th batches of BBA and the 70th and 71st batches of MBA. Simultaneously, the graduating students were honored in recognition of their academic journey and wished success in their future careers. The event was attended by university faculty members, students and distinguished guests.
A major highlight of the program was a special career guidance session titled, “Your Career, Your Future: The Road to Professional Success.” The session was conducted by Laila Naznin, Head of HR & Administration at Star Cineplex. As an experienced strategic HR leader, corporate trainer, and executive coach, she provided the students with valuable guidelines on building a successful career and preparing themselves for a highly competitive professional landscape.
Addressing the students, Laila Naznin emphasized the importance of acquiring professional skills, developing a 'growth mindset', and making conscious career decisions. She urged the youth not to confine themselves merely to academic qualifications but to continuously engage in learning, enhance their leadership and communication skills, and develop the capacity to adapt to change. The event successfully familiarized the incoming students with university life, academic expectations, and available campus facilities, while simultaneously celebrating the achievements of the departing students. The gathering ultimately transformed into a vibrant reunion of freshers and seniors. Following the discussion and farewell session, a captivating cultural program was performed by the students, adding a festive flair to the entire arrangement. The joyful ceremony concluded on a high note, inspiring enthusiasm among the freshers and creating lasting memories for the graduating students.
