One held with foreign pistol in Daudkandi
Cumilla's Daudkandi Model Police has arrested an accused in multiple cases including murder with a foreign pistol, magazines and bullets. The arrestee was identified as Md Rasel Mia (35), son of Jaj Mia of Vitikandi Hasnabad village under Uttar Union of Daudkandi Upazila of Cumilla.
He was arrested in a raid conducted at Vitikandi Hasnabad village of Uttar Union of the upazila on Tuesday (August 18) at around 4 pm. At that time, a new 7.65 model foreign pistol, a magazine and two rounds of bullets were seized from him.
According to police, there are four cases against him including murder and robbery.
Confirming the arrest, Daudkandi Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohammad Sajedul Islam said, "Acting on a tip-off, I along with a team led by SI Ehsanul Hasan, SI Rezowan Islam, ASI Md. Selim Mia, ASI Sanjay Pramanik conducted a drive at Vitikandi Hasnabad village of Uttar Union. During the drive, Md Rasel Mia was arrested from his house near Shafiullah's house. Later a new 7.65 model foreign pistol, a magazine and two rounds of bullets were seized from him."
