The Aviation and Aerospace University, Bangladesh (AAUB) successfully hosted its 21st syndicate eeting on Thursday at its Dhaka campus. The high-level session was presided over by the Honorable Vice Chancellor of AAUB, Air Vice Marshal M Mustafizur Rahman, BSP, GUP, nswc, afwc, psc, GD(P), according to a press release.
Opening the session with sincere gratitude and greetings to all attendees, the chairman underscored the critical importance of technological advancement for the nation and stated "The use of artificial intelligence in aviation technology, space research and Automated Management Technology is not just a matter for the developed world; it is an important determinant of a country’s future capabilities and prestige.
Our main objective is to achieve modern technological capabilities in the aviation and aerospace sector in light of the country’s existing infrastructure and economic capabilities, for developing skilled manpower and establishing the AAUB as an excellent and exemplary higher education institution."
Highlighting the bridge between academia and industry, the Vice Chancellor stressed that effective partnerships form the fundamental bedrock of a modern university.
He pointed to the successful seminar organized by AAUB on 23 June 2026, titled "Collaborative Research with Universities, Industries and Entities: Prospects, Challenges and Ways Out," noting that insights from industry and research experts have provided vital guidelines for overcoming sector challenges. Following these remarks, he briefed the esteemed members on key academic and administrative milestones achieved since the 20th Syndicate Meeting.
The 21st Syndicate Meeting drew a distinguished delegation of members representing AAUB alongside key national institutions, including Armed Forces Division, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism, Bangladesh Air Force, University of Dhaka, Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) and Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh.
