New ministers, state ministers pay tribute at National Memorial

Four newly appointed ministers and two state ministers on Saturday paid homage to the martyrs of the Liberation War at the National Memorial at Savar on the outskirts of the capital Dhaka.

The new cabinet members arrived at the memorial by road this afternoon and paid homage to the martyrs by pacing wreaths at the memorial, a day after taking oath at Bangabhaban, BSS reports.

Four ministers are LGRD and Cooperatives Minister Dr Abdul Moyeen Khan, Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Rashiduzzaman Millat, Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs Minister Saching Prue Jerry and Information and Broadcasting Minister Andaleeve Rahman Partho.

Two state ministers are- State Minister for Foreign Affairs Humaiun Kobir and State Minister for Religious Affairs Mohammad Shamim Kaiser Lincoln.
After placing the wreaths at the memorial, they stood in solemn silence for a while to show respect to the martyrs. Later, they signed the visitors' book.
