Pakistan Rebuilds Jaish Headquarters Destroyed During Operation Sindoor

Pakistan has reportedly rebuilt the Bahawalpur headquarters of Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), a UN-designated terrorist organisation, more than a year after the facility was severely damaged during India’s Operation Sindoor. The Markaz Subhanallah complex has reportedly been restored and is believed to be operational again, raising fresh concerns about Pakistan’s approach to terrorism and militant infrastructure.

The headquarters in Bahawalpur was among the key targets struck by India during Operation Sindoor on May 7, 2025. The operation followed the Pahalgam terror attack and targeted terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. The Indian strikes caused extensive damage to the JeM compound, including its central hall and several surrounding structures.

According to reports, reconstruction of the complex began months after the strikes. Construction activity at the site indicated substantial renovation work. The facility is located beside the N-5 National Highway in Bahawalpur and has long been regarded as an important centre associated with JeM activities.
