Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister M. Rashiduzzaman Millat received a courtesy call and floral greetings from Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Party Director General Major General Abdul Motaleb Sajjad Mahmud at the Secretariat on Monday (August 24).
During the meeting, the Director General congratulated the newly appointed minister on assuming full ministerial responsibility for the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism. On August 21, Millat was elevated from State Minister to full Minister, according to a press release.
The meeting highlighted the professionalism and reputation of the Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Party in ensuring security at the country's airports. The minister called on Ansar personnel to continue their dedicated service in maintaining overall discipline at the airports, widely regarded as gateways to the country, while safeguarding passengers and state assets.
The Director General also briefed the minister on the necessary preparatory measures being taken to coordinate the deployment of Ansar personnel assigned to provide security at the newly constructed Third Terminal of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.
The discussions were held in a cordial atmosphere, with both sides expressing their commitment to continued cooperation between the ministry and the force for the welfare of the country and its people. They also pledged to work together, inspired by the spirit of "Bangladesh First," to ensure national security while contributing to the sustainable development of the country's tourism sector.
