Saifullah Rasul Appointed Additional Director General of Ansar-VDP, Honored at Reception
After a long-awaited appointment, a rank badge presentation and reception ceremony was held on Monday at the headquarters of the Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Force (Ansar-VDP) to honor newly promoted Additional Director General and Commandant of the Ansar-VDP Academy, Mr. Md. Saifullah Rasul.
Director General of Ansar-VDP Major General Abdul Motaleb Sazzad Mahmud, SGP, BAM, NDU, AFWC, PSC, and Additional Director General Brigadier General Mamunur Rashid, NDC, PSC, presented him with the rank badge of his new position and extended floral greetings, according to a press release.
In his address as the chief guest, the Director General praised Md. Saifullah Rasul for his longstanding organizational commitment and dedication, as well as for achieving the qualifications, timely capabilities and professionalism required for promotion to the rank of Additional Director General.
He expressed hope that, building on this promotion, the Ansar-VDP Academy would further enhance and modernize its training programs and help establish the force as a large, professional paramilitary force in the days ahead.
He also expressed confidence that the 18th BCS officer would utilize his professionalism and experience more effectively to strengthen the force's capabilities and welfare, while inspiring and guiding his subordinates in the right direction.
Officials from the Ansar-VDP headquarters, invited officers, commanders of various zones and district commandants attended the ceremony.
The event marked a unique recognition of the Additional Director General's distinguished professional journey and long-standing service to the force.
