Rally of Over One Hundred Thousand Held at Dewanbagh Sharif on the Occasion of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH)

Imam Professor Dr. Qudrat-e-Khoda Huzur, leader of Mohammadi Islam, has called for an end to hatred against Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) and urged people to express their love and devotion toward Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). He made the call in a speech delivered before a grand rally organized to mark the 1,501st birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). More than one hundred thousand Ashiq-e-Rasul (devotees of the Prophet) participated in the rally.

Earlier, an all-day Ashiq-e-Rasul conference was held, attended by Pir Sahibs from several spiritual establishments as well as representatives from around 40 countries worldwide.

Describing Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) as the most joyous day for the devotees of the Prophet, Qudrat-e-Khoda Huzur said that the Muslim community had been deprived of the opportunity to celebrate this occasion with joy for a long time. According to him, many Muslims had believed that Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was born and passed away on the same day. However, Syed Mahbub-e-Khoda Dewanbagi (RA), regarded as one of the prominent reformers of the 20th century, challenged this belief and, citing historical documents, established that Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) passed away on 1 Rabi’ al-Awwal and was born on 12 Rabi’ al-Awwal.

As a result, Qudrat-e-Khoda said, Muslims today have the opportunity to celebrate the birth anniversary of the beloved Prophet (PBUH) with heartfelt joy.

Speakers at the conference stated that Hazrat Dewanbagi (RA) introduced more than a hundred reforms in Islamic practice. They also said that, following his long-standing efforts, the Government of Bangladesh began officially observing Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) at the state level.

Alongside prominent Islamic scholars, the conference featured speeches by Justice Syed Md. Ziaul Karim of the Bangladesh Supreme Court, Justice Md. Faruk (M. Faruk), Nazrul researcher and former Additional Secretary of the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh Zakir Hossain, columnist and researcher Dr. Muhammad Nasir Uddin Sohel, former Vice Principal of National Law College Professor Dr. Abdul Mannan Mia, and Hazratul Allama Muhaddis Emran Hossain Mazhari, among other distinguished personalities from various professions.
