The International Crimes Tribunal (ICT)-1 on Thursday showed Ziaul Ahsan arrested in a case lodged over enforced disappearance of incumbent Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed.
The three-member tribunal headed by Justice Md Golam Martuza Majumder passed the order, allowing a prosecution plea filed in this connection and set October 27 for submitting probe report in the case.
Salahuddin Ahmed on June 3, 2025, filed a complaint with the International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) against seven people including ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina over his 'enforced disappearance' in 2015.
The other accused in the complaint are- former home minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, former inspectors general of police AKM Shahidul Haque and Benazir Ahmed, former director general of National Telecommunication Monitoring Center (NTMC) Ziaul Ahsan, former DMP commissioner Asaduzzaman Mia and former chief of Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crimes (CTTC) unit of police Monirul Islam.
