Jahan Ara Begum’s 20th Death Anniversary today
A special prayer gathering is being held today in Dhaka to mark the 20th death anniversary of the eminent educator and social reformer, the late Kazi Jahan Ara Begum.
The event is taking place at her family residence in East Manipur (House No. 1191, near Kazipara Metro Station).
Kazi Jahan Ara Begum was the wife of the late Kazi Zahirul Huq, a senior Supreme Court advocate and prominent leader of the National Awami Party (NAP). She was also the mother of Dr. Jasmin Chowdhury, Editor of The Asian Age.
Family members, close relatives, and well-wishers are requested to join the gathering to offer prayers in memory of her departed soul.
