Altamash Kabir elected new Dhaka Club president
Altamash Kabir, Editor and Publisher of daily Bengali newspaper Sangbad, has been elected the new President of prestigious Dhaka Club.
In the election held on Saturday (5 September 2026), he won by securing 978 votes. His nearest rival, Shamim Hossain, received 392 votes.
With this victory, Altamash Kabir takes over new leadership responsibilities at the Dhaka Club.
