National Hockey team face China today in practice match
Bangladesh National Hockey Team will play their third practice match against the China Senior National Team on Monday. The match will take place at the Tianjin Jinghai District Tuanbo Sport Center. It will start at 8:00 AM (Bangladesh Time).
This match is part of Bangladesh's preparation for the upcoming Asian Games. The team is currently in China to play a total of five preparation matches.
Bangladesh has already played two practice matches against Chinese province teams. Tomorrow's game will be a major test as they face the main Chinese national squad.
Earliar, Bangladesh National Hockey Team showed a great performance in the second warm-up match held in Tianjin, China on Saturday. The red-green representatives played a 3-3 draw against a Chinese Province team.
This tour has been organized as a preparation for the upcoming 20th Asian Games. The match was held at the Tuanbo Sports Center in the Jinghai District of Tianjin, Beijing. The Bangladesh boys played aggressive hockey from the beginning against the strong Province team.
Amirul Islam, Rezaul Karim Babu and Deen Islam Emon scored 1 goal each for the team in the match. Bangladesh maintained the fight in the match until the last moment with a great combination of defense and forward line.
Such a performance in the China tour will help boost the team's confidence on the main stage of the Asian Games.
Meanwhile, Bangladesh suffered their second consecutive defeat in the 2026 Men's Junior Asia Cup hockey tournament, losing 4-2 against Malaysia in China on Sunday.
Following a close 3-2 defeat against China in their opening match, Bangladesh fought hard but fell short against a strong Malaysian side in their second Pool B fixture.
Bangladesh will need to bounce back quickly in their upcoming matches to keep their tournament hopes alive.
