First Division Hockey League to start from September 20
After a long three years, the First Division Hockey League is finally returning to the field. The process of players’ transfers of the clubs has officially started from Sunday with the ultimate goal of starting this league from September 20. The transfer ended on Monday.
First Division Hockey League Committee Chairman Mr. Harun-ur-Rashid expressed great optimism about this initiative. He said that each club has been participating in this process very spontaneously from the beginning. Several meetings have already been held with the clubs to organize the league successfully. The clubs are helping the federation by providing various constructive suggestions and active cooperation.
The chairman of the Hockey League Committee said, "If there is no game on the field, the diversity of the sports field is lost. Despite having such a wonderful field, there has been no hockey tournament for the last three years, which was a real concern. We were eager to hold the game on the field from the beginning at any cost. It is not possible to make this event successful without the sincere cooperation of the clubs. We are hopeful that this cooperation of the clubs will continue throughout the tournament, starting from the team transfer."
The organizers and the clubs firmly believe that by organizing a beautiful and grand league, hockey will once again bring spectators to the hockey field. Total nine clubs participated in the transfer on Sunday. The remaining clubs will completed the team transfer on Monday. List of clubs participating in the First Division Hockey League on Sunday:
Wari Club, Hockey Dhaka United, PWD, Combined SC, Mukta Bihanga Tarun Sangha, Bachelors SC, Forasganj SC, Shishu Kishore Sangha, Wanderers Club.
Royer Bazar SC, Dhaka Young Star Club.
