A 30-member delegation from the Bangladesh Wushu Federation has traveled to China for a 50-day training program aimed at further strengthening the foundation of Wushu in Bangladesh on the international stage.
Athletes, coaches, and officials are participating in this training, which has been organised through the invitation of Chinese authorities and with the support of the Government of Bangladesh. The team recently departed Dhaka for China under the special patronage of State Minister for Youth and Sports Aminul Haque and the overall management of the Bangladesh Wushu Federation.
The training course for 'Taolu Wushu athletes and coaches' will take place from September 10 to October 29 in Zhengzhou, the capital of Henan province. The primary objective of this extensive residential training is to acquire international-standard training methods, techniques, and skills, and subsequently apply them within the domestic Wushu arena.
The team is being led by Habibur Rahman Siddiqui Rubel, the Treasurer of the Bangladesh Wushu Federation. Federation General Secretary Dildar Hasan Dilu, Joint General Secretary AKM Shahidul Alam Monir, and other officials were present at the airport to see the team off.
Federation sources stated that this training has been organized as part of long-term preparations for future international competitions, particularly the South Asian Games. The goal is to elevate the proficiency of the athletes and coaches by mastering the modern techniques and practice methods of China's Wushu training system.
Federation officials expressed their gratitude to State Minister for Youth and Sports Aminul Haque, as well as the relevant government and Chinese authorities, for facilitating this training opportunity. They anticipate that the experience gained in China will open new horizons for Wushu in the country and brighten Bangladesh's prospects for winning medals on the international stage.
