Prime Minister Tarique Rahman on Friday visited an army officer undergoing treatment at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH).
The army officer was critically injured in an accident during a tank firing exercise at the Hathazari Field Firing Range in Chattogram Wednesday.
The prime minister visited the CMH at noon and enquired about the physical condition of the injured officer and wished him a speedy and complete recovery, said his Deputy Press Secretary Suzauddoula (Sujon Mahmud), BSS reports.
He said the Prime Minister gave necessary instructions to the concerned authorities to ensure proper treatment of the injured officer.
The Prime Minister spoke to the injured officer and his family members, offering them courage and consolation.
Two Bangladesh Army soldiers were killed and an army officer was injured critically during the accident.
The injured officer was airlifted to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Dhaka for advanced treatment.
The deputy press secretary said the prime minister also expressed profound grief over the deaths of the two army personnel and conveyed his sympathy to their bereaved families.
