Australian Envoy Meets New UNDP Resident Representative to Strengthen Ties

The Australian High Commission in Bangladesh hosted Stephen Rodriques, the newly appointed Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Bangladesh, for a high-level diplomatic meeting focused on bilateral cooperation and national development goals on Sunday.

The session served as a key platform for both parties to exchange views on Bangladesh's current development priorities.

Discussions highlighted pathways to deepen the longstanding partnership between Australia and the UNDP, particularly in key operational areas such as social protection, systems strengthening, and public governance.

Looking ahead, both delegations reaffirmed their commitment to identifying new avenues for strategic collaboration.

Priority initiatives will target institutional reform, sustainable economic growth, and climate resilience, aiming to support Bangladesh's long-term socio-economic stability.
