Ansar Personnel Foil Attempted Theft at Ghorashal Fertilizer Factory, Apprehend Two
Members of the Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Force foiled an attempted theft at Ghorashal Fertilizer Factory-1 in Palash, Narsingdi, apprehending two youths while they were allegedly attempting to steal valuable materials from the industrial facility.
The two detainees were subsequently handed over to the police for necessary legal proceedings.
According to sources familiar with the incident, a team of Ansar personnel assigned to the factory was conducting a routine security patrol inside the Ghorashal Fertilizer Factory-1 premises at approximately 10:00pm on Sunday, September 13.
The patrol team was led by Platoon Commander (PC) Md. Sanowar Hossain, accompanied by Ansar members Md. Zafar Mia and Md. Suman Palowan.
During the patrol, the security personnel noticed the suspicious movements of two individuals inside the factory premises. Upon closely monitoring their activities, the Ansar members reportedly suspected that the individuals were attempting to steal valuable factory materials.
Acting swiftly, the security personnel launched a pursuit and strategically surrounded the suspects from multiple directions, subsequently apprehending both individuals red-handed.
The detainees were identified as Masud Akand, 40, and Kamrul Mia, 35.
The prompt response, vigilance, and coordinated security efforts of the Ansar personnel prevented the suspected theft and helped safeguard valuable assets of the industrial facility, thereby averting potential financial losses.
Following the incident, senior authorities were immediately informed. In accordance with the instructions of the concerned authorities, the two apprehended individuals were subsequently handed over to the police for further legal action.
