Zubaida Rahman visits Blue Sky School run by Air Force

Dr. Zubaida Rahman, Vice President of the Ziaur Rahman Foundation, visited the specialized school for children with special needs, 'Blue Sky,' operated by the Bangladesh Air Force, at Dhaka Cantonment on Tuesday (15 September 2026), according to a press release received from Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).
Upon her arrival at the venue, Dr. Zubaida Rahman was welcomed by Saleha Khan, President of the Bangladesh Air Force Women's Welfare Association (BAFWWA) and the Others' Women and Children Club (OWCC). The young students of Blue Sky School also welcomed the chief guest with flowers.
During her visit, Dr. Zubaida Rahman observed various classroom activities and learned about the different therapeutic services provided for children with special needs. She personally visited the school's hydrotherapy, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, psychology and music therapy facilities.
A team of 28 specially trained teachers and therapists conducts these programs at Blue Sky School with the aim of helping children with special needs lead healthy and independent lives. During the visit, the principal of Blue Sky School briefed the chief guest on the institution's academic and vocational education programs, therapy facilities, medical emergency arrangements and overall activities.
It may be noted that Blue Sky School was established in 2021 at the initiative of the Bangladesh Air Force Women's Welfare Association (BAFWWA). At present, classroom activities are conducted with one teacher and one sister/brother for a maximum of five students. Since its establishment in 2021, a large number of children with special needs have been integrated into mainstream educational programs through the school's initiatives.
