General Waker Uz Zaman leaves for Japan
Chief of Staff of Bangladesh Army General Waker Uz Zaman departed for Japan on Wednesday (16 September 2026), on a four-day official visit, according to a press release received from Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).
During the visit, in his capacity as President of the Bangladesh Olympic Association, General Waker Uz Zaman will attend the opening ceremony of the 20th Asian Games to be held in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan.
He will also attend various sporting events of the Asian Games and participate in bilateral meetings with senior officials of the Asian Games and Olympic associations.
