Event marking US Constitution Day held in Dhaka University

U.S. Ambassador to Bangladesh Brent T. Christensen joined Law Minister Mohammad Asaduzzaman, MP; Dhaka University Pro-Vice Chancellor Professor Abdus Salam; and constitutional experts, academics and students at Dhaka University's Senate Hall on 17 September 2026 to mark U.S. Constitution Day, according to a press release received from the US Embassy, Dhaka.
In his speech, Ambassador Christensen highlighted how constant debate, the continuous search for consensus and the American Constitution's emphasis on the separation of powers, judicial independence and the right to keep adding amendments has resulted in a resilient Constitution that has inspired democracies around the world for over 200 years.
The US Constitution Day program featured a public ceremony, panel discussion, an essay competition, a quiz contest and an American Founders Museum exhibition, the press release concludes.
