Free eye camp held in Arambagh
A free eye camp was held at Arambagh High School ground in the capital on Saturday.
Abdus Sattar, a philanthropist and social worker, inaugurated the daylong medical camp in the morning.
Social worker and organizer Md Fakhrul Islam, BNP leaders Md Shah Alam Salu, Shahadat Hossain, Jahidul Islam Jewel, Md Nurul Islam, Ismail Hossain and local elites were present at the event.
At the overall supervision and assistance from young social worker and organizer Habibullah Mahbub, the programme was conducted by Islami Eye Hospital.
Habibullah Mahbub said, "Eyes are priceless gifts from the Creator. We have arranged the event with a view to providing health services free to the people in the area with eye problems."
Such an initiative will continue in future, he assured.
