Cultural competition held in Brahmanbaria marking Nazrul Year
A day-long cultural competition was held at Sadar Upazila Complex on Monday with the participation of primary and secondary-level students as part of the observance of 'Nazrul Year'.
Sadar Upazila administration organized the competition to celebrate the birth anniversary of National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam and promote his literary and cultural works among students, BSS reports.
Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Mahmuda Jahan inaugurated the competition.
More than 200 students from different educational institutions in Sadar upazila took part in the competition.
The students competed in eight events, including Hamd-Naath, Nazrul Sangeet, dance, drawing and recitation.
Sadar Upazila Agriculture Officer Shahana Begum, Additional Agriculture Officer Salma Sultana, Upazila Project Implementation Officer Zillur Rahman, Upazila Social Services Officer Nurul Mahmud Bhuiyan, Upazila Primary Education Officer Shafia Begum, Upazila Academic Supervisor Papia Akter, district JASAS convener Enamul Haque Jewel and municipal Mohila Dal president Rimin Farhana Disha, among others, were present.
