'Bangladesh keen to send manpower for development work in Saudi Arabia'
LGRD and Cooperatives Minister Dr. Abdul Moyeen Khan has expressed Bangladesh's interest in sending manpower to Saudi Arabia for development-related work.
The minister expressed the eagerness when Saudi Arabia-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SABCCI) President AshrafulHaqueChowdhury paid a courtesy call on him at his office, BSS reports.
Moyeen also hoped that opportunities will emerge for Bangladesh to participate in various development, productive and constructive activities in Saudi Arabia, particularly in view of Saudi Vision 2030, World Expo 2030, and the FIFA World Cup 2034.
During the meeting, AshrafulHaque said SABCCI is planning to organize a "Bangladesh Trade Promotion Mission and Product Catalogue Show" in Saudi Arabia next month.
As part of the initiative, meetings and exchanges of views will be held with representatives of chambers of commerce and prominent businesspeople in Riyadh, Dammam, Jeddah, Makkah and Madinah.
Products and services from 10 important sectors of Bangladesh will be showcased and promoted at the event.
Moyeen hoped that through the active participation of SABCCI members in this initiative, the promotion of Bangladeshi products and services will be strengthened and commercial and economic cooperation with Saudi Arabia will be further expanded.
He wished the event every success.
