Narail district Tchoukball tournament concludes
The Narail District Tchoukball Tournament 2026 was held in a festive atmosphere. Organised by the NarailTchoukball Club with the support of the Bangladesh Tchoukball Association, the tournament was marked by great enthusiasm among the players.
The event aimed to further popularize and expand the sport of Tchoukball in Narail. Four teams participated in the tournament: NarailTchoukball Club, NarailSadarUpazila, BanshgramTchoukball Club, and LohagaraUpazila. In the final match, NarailTchoukball Club defeated BanshgramTchoukball Club by a score of 28-6 to claim the championship title.
SajinIsratZoha, the District Sports Officer of Narail, attended the final match and prize-giving ceremony as the chief guest. ShaktipadaBiswas, a senior teacher at Narail Government High School, was present as the special guest. AshiqurRahmanSourav, General Secretary of the NarailTchoukball Club and a sports organizer, presided over the event.
Speakers at the event noted that Tchoukball is a team sport that fosters physical fitness, mental concentration, and a spirit of mutual cooperation. Such tournaments not only help develop leadership qualities among the youth but also provide opportunities for positive recreation. The organizers stated that while this year's tournament was held on a smaller scale, the Khulna Divisional Championship would be hosted in Narail in the future.
It is worth mentioning that the Bangladesh Tchoukball Association is conducting various programs across the country's districts to provide Tchoukball training, organize competitions, and raise awareness about environmental issues.
