Five-day Archery "Coaches Refresher Course" concludes
The "Coaches Refresher Course - 2026," organised by the Bangladesh Archery Federation, has successfully concluded. The course aimed to further enhance the modern training methods, technical knowledge, and coaching skills of archery coaches in Bangladesh.
This five-day training course was held from September 23 to 27, 2026, at the Archery Training Academy (ATA) in Tongi, Gazipur. Archery coaches from various levels across the country participated in the event.
The course featured training and discussions on modern coaching methodology, rules and regulations, athlete development, and various technical updates. Emphasis was also placed on enriching the coaches' skills and knowledge through practical training sessions.
Following the five-day training program, the closing and certificate-awarding ceremony took place on September 27. Certificates for the "Coaches Refresher Course - 2026" were handed over to the participating coaches during the event.
The ceremony was attended by Md. Nazim Uddin Ahmed, Vice President, Bangladesh Archery Federation; Md. Sohel Rana, Joint Secretary, Bangladesh Archery Federation; and Md. Rubel Hossain, Joint Secretary, Bangladesh Archery Federation.
Also present at the event was Md. Nure Alam-a World Archery Level-3 Coach, Asian Expert, and elected member of the World Archery Asia Coaches Committee. Coaches and instructors associated with the course were also in attendance.
Speakers at the event emphasized the crucial role of skilled and trained coaches in producing world-class athletes and ensuring the continuous development of archery in Bangladesh. They noted that coaching methods and technical knowledge are evolving over time; therefore, it is essential to strengthen the country's coaching framework through regular training and knowledge updates for coaches. Through the 'Coaches Refresher Course - 2026,' participating coaches had the opportunity to gain new knowledge and experience regarding modern coaching methods, training techniques, and various technical aspects.
It also provided an opportunity for them to further enhance their coaching skills.
The five-day training program concluded with a certificate presentation ceremony. It is hoped that such training initiatives will be organized regularly with the aim of advancing archery in Bangladesh on the international stage and developing skilled athletes for future generations.
