Pirojpur SP exchanges views with journalists
The newly appointed Superintendent of Police Muhammad Talebur Rahman (PPM-Seba) of Pirojpur district exchanged views with the journalists from the district's print and electronic media.
The view-exchange meeting was held at the conference room of the SP's office on Sunday.
Speaking at the meeting, the SP said, "The police are friends of the people and affirmed that the district police will work with the utmost professionalism to curb crime."
He emphasized that a strict stance would be taken against all criminals, including those possessing illegal arms, terrorists, extortionists, and drug dealers.
He sought the cooperation of journalists and local residents to maintain law and order in the district.
The relationship between the police and the public should be strengthened through initiatives such as beat policing, community policing, and "Open House Day" programs, he added.
He also discussed the overall law and order situation in the district, including preparations for the upcoming Durga Puja, with the journalists.
Additional Superintendent of Police Nasrin Jahan, Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Shariful Islam, and senior journalists including Mahmud Hossain, Muniruzzaman Nasim Ali, SM Rezaul Islam Shamim, Hasan Mamun, and Ziaul Haque-along with other representatives from various print and electronic media outlets were present at the meeting.
