Doctors are providing services 24 hours despite many limitations: Health Minister
Health and Family Welfare Minister Sardar Md. Sakhawat Hossain Bokul has said that, country’s doctors are providing services day and night despite a lot of limitations. He made the remarks at a discussion meeting in the  capital  Tejgaon on Wednesday after inaugurating the upward expansion  of the National Ear, Nose and Throat Institute and upgrading  to 25o beds . He further said that, different steps are being taken for the skill development of country’s doctors and gain international experience. Moreover, cooperation and headway are being made with various international organizations including China and Pakisthan to expand the scope of higher training and fellowship facilities for doctors, he added.

Sakhawat Hossain however elaborately came up and  urged the media and Journalists to understand the reality and challenges of doctors work. He mentioned again that, if there is any lack or mistake in the work by the concerned health services personalities  to have a positive mindset and correct it through discussion with the media. Therefore all concerned must be more sincere in ensuring services to the country’s marginalized people by preserving the great dignity of the medical profession, he added.

The program was presided over by the National Ear, Nose and Throat Institute Director Professor Dr. Hasan Zafar.DAB President Professor Dr. Harun Al Rashid, DAB Secretary General Dr. Zahirul Islam Shakil, and Bangladesh Children Hospital Chairman Professor Dr. AKM Azizul Haque were also spoke at the event.
