China dominated from the start scoring goals in regular interval held at Gifu Prefectural Green Stadium in Japan.
Rakibul Hasan scored Bangladesh's lone goal with a field goal in the 30th minute.
Bangladesh will now face Thailand in the seventh-eighth place playoff on Oct 3, with the match scheduled for 6:30am Bangladesh time.
Earlier, Bangladesh ended their Asian Games hockey campaign on a losing note, suffering a heavy 10-0 defeat to strong India in their final Group A match.
India dominated from the outset, scoring once in the first quarter before launching a series of attacks in the second quarter to further extend their lead. Bangladesh went into halftime trailing heavily.
Bangladesh had earlier beaten Sri Lanka 5-1 and Indonesia 3-1 after losing to South Korea 5-0 and hosts Japan 6-1 in their opening two matches.
