Arafat Rahman Koko memorial football final inaugurated in B'baria

State Minister for Youth and Sports Md Aminul Haque on Wednesday inaugurated the final of the Arafat Rahman Koko Memorial Football Tournament at the Ashutosh Pilot High School ground at Nasirnagar Upazila in Brahmanbaria district.

He pledged to develop the local sports sector and create employment opportunities for the youth. He declared the tournament open while attending the final match.

Speaking as the chief guest, he announced that a modern stadium would be constructed in Nasirnagar to help develop sports infrastructure in the upazila.

"This overflowing crowd proves just how deep the people's love for sports runs. Our government attaches the utmost importance to sports. Through the promotion of sports, we aim to bring about qualitative and positive changes in the nation."

Announcing plans for sports infrastructure development in Nasirnagar, the State Minister added, "A modern stadium will be constructed in Nasirnagar. Furthermore, if the Ashutosh Pilot High School authorities consent, a high-quality gallery will be built around the field so that sports enthusiasts can enjoy the games in comfort."

Reiterating his commitment to youth employment and overall development, he said, "We will all work unitedly to build a beautiful Bangladesh for the future. Initiatives to create employment for the youth are currently underway. Public welfare and comprehensive development are our primary goals, and the impact of this development will be extended to every sector of the country."

Earlier, Aminul Haque attended a programme at the Nasirnagar Upazila Parishad auditorium and distributed sports equipment among students of various local educational institutions.

Attending the event as the chief guest, the State Minister handed over the sports equipment to the students. 

Local Members of Parliament Mr. M. A. Hannan and Engineer Khaled Hossain Mahbub Shyamal, along with Member of Parliament for the reserved women's seat Nadia Pathan Papon, attended both events as special guests. Also present were Syed Abdal Ahmad, Principal Information Officer of the Department of Mass Communication, as well as senior local administration officials, prominent figures, and teachers and students from various educational institutions.
