Afghanistan drops Nabi, Rasooli for Bangladesh, Zimbabwe series
Afghanistan has left veteran all-rounder Mohammad Nabi and middle-order batter Darwish Rasooli out of its squads for the upcoming series against Bangladesh and Zimbabwe.
Nabi and Rasooli were part of Afghanistan's squad for its 'home' three-match T20I series against India in New Delhi in September, which Afghanistan lost 0-3.
Nabi played all three matches but went wicketless in two of them. Rasooli has been on a poor run of form in recent times, registering two ducks at the 2026 Asian Games after scores of 26 and 2 against India.
Afghanistan begins its packed schedule with a one-off Test against Bangladesh from October 9, before facing Zimbabwe and Bangladesh in a tri-series of ODIs from October 17 to 23.
The team will then play Zimbabwe in three T20Is and two Tests. All the matches will be held in the UAE.
