Major General Abdul Motaleb Sazzad Mahmud, Director General of Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Force (Ansar-VDP) and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ansar-VDP Development Bank, conducted a special training session for newly appointed senior officers of the bank as part of their ongoing basic training course.
The special session began at 11:30am on Wednesday at the Ops Conference Room of the Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Force Headquarters in Khilgaon, Dhaka. The 90-minute session concluded at 1pm, with 25 newly appointed senior officers of Ansar-VDP Development Bank participating.
During the session, Major General Abdul Motaleb Sazzad Mahmud provided important guidance on strengthening the rural economy, improving the quality of banking services, and ensuring modern, technology-driven banking services reach people at the grassroots level.
He urged bank officials to perform their duties with honesty, dedication, sincerity and professionalism to ensure the financial security and self-reliance of Ansar and VDP members.
The chairman also discussed various aspects of timely loan disbursement for rural and small-scale enterprises, efficient loan recovery, and expanding the reach of banking services at the grassroots level. He also highlighted banking support aimed at engaging members of the Sanjiban Platoon in self-employment and entrepreneurial activities.
At the concluding stage of the session, the Director General and bank chairman answered questions from the trainee officers. He encouraged them to apply the knowledge and skills acquired during the training in their future careers and play an effective role in improving the quality of banking services and expanding financial services at the grassroots level.
The special training session was organised with the objective of developing skilled, honest and people-oriented bankers who can more effectively deliver modern banking services to communities at the grassroots level.
