Ansar-VDP Takes Advance Security Measures Ahead of Durga Puja
The Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Party (Ansar-VDP) has begun advance security preparations across the country to ensure the upcoming Sharadiya Durga Puja is held peacefully, smoothly and safely.
As part of the preparations, Ansar-VDP personnel are visiting idol-making sites, puja mandaps and temples and conducting advance security assessments. At the field level, members of the force are holding discussions with leaders of puja celebration committees, temple authorities and those involved in idol-making.
During the meetings, discussions are focusing on the security of idols, law and order during the festival, and the roles and responsibilities of puja committees and Ansar-VDP personnel.
Under the direction of Ansar-VDP Director General Major General Abdul Motaleb Sazzad Mahmud, the activities are being carried out in various districts and upazilas under the supervision of Upazila Ansar-VDP officers and instructors. Paid Ansar-VDP members are participating in the field-level preparations.
During inspections, emphasis is being placed on the overall security of puja mandaps, entry and exit arrangements, lighting and fire safety. Authorities are also stressing close coordination with local administration and law enforcement agencies to prevent any untoward incidents.
Puja celebration committees have also been requested to ensure accommodation and necessary facilities for Ansar personnel assigned to security duties during the festival.
At the same time, stakeholders have been urged to cooperate in maintaining overall security and discipline at puja venues and to take swift, coordinated measures in the event of an emergency.
Ansar-VDP members are being kept ready for deployment at puja mandaps across the country to help maintain public safety and law and order during the Sharadiya Durga Puja.
The advance preparations and field-level activities of Ansar-VDP are continuing nationwide in coordination with local administration, law enforcement agencies and puja celebration committees to ensure a safe and peaceful celebration of Durga Puja.
