22 Ansar-VDP officers, members bound for performing Umrah
On 3 November 2026, a program was held at the auditorium of the Headquarters of the Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Party (VDP) to distribute visas, air tickets and special gift items among the officers, employees and members selected for performing Holy Umrah-2026. A special prayer ceremony was also organized at the outset of their journey.
Major General Abdul Motaleb Sajjad Mahmud, Director General of Ansar-VDP, attended the program as the chief guest. He personally handed over visas, air tickets and gift items to a total of 22 individuals, including 3 officers and 19 members. During the event, he wished the members of the Umrah delegation good health and a safe journey. He also advised them to perform Umrah in accordance with the prescribed religious rules and principles while maintaining discipline and to pray for the welfare of the country and Ansar-VDP personnel.
In his address as the chief guest, the Director General stated that youth is the most suitable time of life to perform Hajj and Umrah. Religious practice and the pursuit of spiritual purification from an early stage of life help individuals develop strong moral character. He emphasized that the foundation of all reforms lies in reforming one's mindset. Therefore, he earnestly called upon everyone to embrace a positive mindset, morality and human values in their personal lives and professional responsibilities.
