DUCSU organizes youth leadership summit
"DUCSU Youth Leadership Summit & JANAF Conscious Citizen Conclave 2026" DHAKA, November 3, 2026: With a vision to foster democratic values, accountability and ethical leadership among the youth, the "DUCSU Youth Leadership Summit & JANAF Conscious Citizen Conclave 2026" was held on Wednesday at the Nawab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bhaban of University of Dhaka.
Jointly organized by the Dhaka University Central Students' Union (DUCSU) and the JagrotaNagorik Foundation (JANAF), this mega event drew Four Hundreds of university students and young representatives from across the country. Dr. Sheikh Abdul Hamid, Chairman of the Jagrota Nagorik Foundation (JaNaF) and former professor at Harvard and Boston Universities, presided over the program as the Program Chair.
Additionally, JANAF Vice-Chairman Brigadier General (Retd) Md. Nasimul Gani, PhD, spoke as a special guest, providing strategic guidelines on democratic governance & military leadership.
Moderated seamlessly by DUCSU executive member Anas Ibn Munir, a panel discussion featured Professor Saifuddin Ahmed of the Department of Peace and Conflict Studies at Dhaka University, former Chief Prosecutor of the International Crimes Tribunal Mohammad Tajul Islam and Professor Dr. Shahriar Khan of the EEE Department at Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB). The entire program was anchored by DUCSU Executive Member SarbamitraChakma, JaNaF Senior Program Officer Md. Sanjid Ahmed Sojib, and Dhaka University student Kazi Hafsa Jahan.
