Hasan Mahmud claimed a 6-90 as Bangladesh bowled out West Indies for 356 in the first innings of the second Test at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium on Friday.
The batters, however, continued its vulnerable show, leaving Bangladesh at troubling 88-3 at stumps on Day 2.
TowhidHridoy was batting on 29 with veteranMushfiqur Rahim on 18.
NayeemHasan came as a makeshift opener after Shadman Islam suffered an ankle injury. But he couldn't survive an aggressive bowling from West Indies pacers and fell for 5 when Jayden Seals had him caught by Brandon King at first slip.
Justin Greaves then cut short TanzidHasanTamim's stay into the crease, dismissing him for 16 after debutant Kevin Wickham held onto a stunning catch at cover point.
Resuming at 235-4, West Indies appeared to take the complete stranglehold of the match.
Hasan made the West Indies disarray with a double strike-firstly he rattled the stump of Amir Jangoo for 133, after he added 22 runs to his overnight total, ending 106-run partnership with Justin Greaves.
He then removed captainRoston Chase for duck in the immediate next delivery and stood on a hat-trick. When it appeared that he achieved the feat of hat-trick, Bishop reviewed the decision successfully to overturn it.
Hasan's accuracy however made it tougher for West Indies to recover from that double strike.
He got the reward of his consistency when he sent back Joshua Bishop for 23 to compete his fifth five-wicket haul in Test cricket.
But Greaves managed to weather the attack to take the side past 300 and raised his fifty.
MehidyMiraz dismissed Greaves for 51, to give Bangladesh the first wicket with spin.
Hasan then completed his second six-for by Shamar Joseph before Miraz took the wicket of Jayden Seals to wrap up West Indies innings.
Earlier, Amir Jangoo struck a scintillating unbeaten century to rescue West Indies from an early collapse and put the side in commanding position on the opening day of the second and final Test against Bangladesh.
Debutant Kevin Wickham also made an impressive contribution with a patient 61, sharing a crucial 131-run fourth-wicket partnership with Jangoo that helped West Indies recover from a disastrous start.
Having already won the first Test in Dhaka by eight wickets, West Indies, eyeing a series sweep, opted to bat first after winning the toss. However, Bangladesh's pace attack made an immediate impact, reducing the visitors to 27-3 inside the first hour.
West Indies could have suffered an even worse start but were handed several reprieves by Bangladesh's sloppy slip fielding.
