'Detective', a short story by Nobel Laureate Rabindranath Tagore is being made into an animated film. Directed by Tapan Ahmed, Arefin Shuvo and Nusrat Faria lent the voices in the lead characters. The movie is soon to be released under the banner of Jazz Multimedia. Since the start, Jazz Multimedia has been in the centre of discussion in the film industries. This time the studio caught attention by bringing 'Detective', the first ever full-length commercial animated movie in the film history of Bangladesh.

Isn't it a bit risky to release an animated film commercially in Bangladesh, for the first time? About the issue, the managing director of Jazz Multimedia Afrin Mohu said, "We always take risk and the results we are getting is promising. We are moving forward because the audiences are loving these risks and welcoming our thoughts. So we thought why not bring something new, why not an animated cinema? We hope we will be able to present something worthwhile." "We are also creating a game on this movie.

This is also the first time that a game is made based on a movie. We are still not sure where will it take us, but, we are believing our positive thought and moving forward," he added.  One of the leading characters, whose voice has been given by Nusrat Faria, also had the same positive tune like Afrin Mohu. She said, "If we don't think or dream about creating animation film like 'Detective', nobody will ever do.

Therefore, positive and hopefull thinking is must for us." The production house, Jaaz Multimedia is spending a total of around Tk 4 crore for the animation film, which will add a new feather in the crown of Bangladeshi films. Jaaz multimedia's chairman Abdul Aziz said they took the big budget initiative to make an animation film to tangle the new generation with Rabindranath Tagore.
