AA: Do you watch Bangladeshi films?
Rahsaan Noor: Yeah, I watch Bengali movies when I have time. Moreover, I watch all types of movie of the world. Recently, I saw a very good Bengali movie titled 'Jalaler Golpo'.
AA: How long have you been involved in this profession?
Rahsaan Noor: While I was in high school, I auditioned for a new Disney campaign and got a role. In 2013, I started my career in this profession by appearing in independent movies and I have been acting on Bengali television commercials for about four years now.
AA: What's your family's approach to your connections with movies?
Rahsaan Noor: It is totally different from my family's track. Except from the legendary singer Runa Laila, my aunty, no one is involved with this field. Fortunately all of my relatives are supportive of my work and are excited whenever my movies are released.
AA: Is there any plan to work further in Bangladeshi films?
Rahsaan Noor: Yeah, I came in Bangladesh to do more work. My mission for the time being is to successfully work for the film 'Cyclewala', a joint initiative of Dhaka-Mumbai.
AA: Do you think Bangladeshi films can compete with international film industries?
Rahsaan Noor: Mostly there are three impediments--marketing, budget and techniques in the film sector of Bangladesh. The practice of learning about films is not broad enough here. Marketing is the main thing. If you do marketing smoothly then it is easy to reach your goal.
AA: Can Bangladesh film industry produce world class actors/actresses who want to build their careers in this field?
Rahsaan Noor: The first thing is training. Everyone should have talent to work in this field. Then one has to practice more and more and create a network within the industry. Practice makes one perfect and network helps to get better proposals from eminent filmmakers.
AA: What do you want to do in future?
Rahsaan Noor: My biggest goal is to make a high budget action film in the industry. Right now we are working with an aim to get an Oscar nomination for our upcoming movie Cyclewala.
AA: Thank you very much.
Rahsaan Noor: You are welcome.
