Eminent folk lyricist Gafur Hali passes away

Eminent lyricist of folk music Abdul Gafur Hali died at a clinic in port city on Wednesday. Abdul Gafur Hali was 88. He was suffering from old age complication for last two months. He was undergoing treatment at Mount Hospital in the port city.
He left two sons, two daughters and grand sons and daughters to mourn. The cultural activists of Chittagong were shocked over the death of Abdul Gafur Hali. He wrote several thousands of folk and Miajbhandari songs which are most popular in the country.
German government made a short film on the life of Abdul Gafur Hali. Besides, several compilations of songs of Abdul Gafur Hali were published earlier.
