Bangladesh emerges as AFC U-14 girls regional football champions

Bangladeshi has clinched the AFC Under-14 Girls Regional Champio-nship football title.
The girls in red and green beat host Nepal 1-0. They took the lead in the 16th minute through Maria. Krishna Rani Sarkar and her team kept pressing for more goals in the rest of the match at the Army Physical Training Centre in Nepal on Sunday. But without success. The final match was supposed to be held in April. Bangladesh had beaten Iran 2-1 in the semifinal of the tournament that comprised teams from South Asia and Middle East. But a devastating earthquake had caused colossal damage to Kathmandu and rest of the country on the day of the final. The match was rescheduled . The Bangladeshi girls, however, achieved their goal eight months later.
