Country has made a tremendous development in every field and the ongoing uplift works must be freed from corruption and bribing, said Mahmudur Rahman Belayet, former MP of Noakhali-1 constituency, while speaking as the chief guest of the Iftar mahfil and discussion meeting organized by Protyasha Samity in Dhaka on Friday. Former DIG Golam Kibria Bhuiyan was the special guest. APS to PM Jahangir Alam, also President of Protyasha Samity, chaired the program.
Protyasha Samity, basically a platform of the former Chhatra League activists of Chatkhil area of Noakhali district arranged the get together for organizing themselves in making a Protyasha Foundation aiming at greater welfare of its members. Some samity executives also spoke on the occasion and the members were introduced to the guests in the mahfil. AM Masud Patoary conducted the program.
Jahangir Alam, in his speech specifically laid stress on maximum utilization of the government fund allotted for development works. Assistant Editor of The Asian Age Main Uddin Ahmed attended the function as a guest and he stressed on recognition of the honest persons who work with sincerity for the society. Reminding Bangabandhu's steps for action against corrupt persons, Mahmudur Rahman Belayet urged Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to be strict in taking action against corrupt persons even if the elements are from own party.
