Farid Uddin Ahmed appointed SUST VC

The President has appointed Dhaka Univer-sity economics department's Professor Farid Uddin Ahmed Vice-Chancellor at the Shahjalal University of Science and Technology in Sylhet.

Laila Arjumand Banu, a joint secretary at the Direc-torate of Secondary and Higher Education, told bdnews24.com about the appointment on Thursday. She said the professor, now on post-retirement leave, will helm the SUST for four years. The tenure of Aminul Haque Bhuiyan as the VC of the university ended on July 27.
