A four-day-long conference has begun at Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) headquarters in Pilkhana, Dhaka yesterday. BGB Director General (DG) Major General Abul Hossain inaugurated the program which is being attended some 24 schools at several BGB units.
Citing the importance of human resource for a country, the DG said: "There is no alternative of quality education which can turn the new generation into asset." He advocated for modern technology in providing the quality learning and said efforts were on to modernize the BGB-run educational institutions.
Addressing the attending institutions' chiefs, he suggested using the experience of the four-day-long program. Colonel Abdullah Al Mamun presented the keynote at the inaugural session. Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid will attend the closing session as the chief guest on Thursday.
