B'Baria sees huge  development works

Different development works are being implemented at every corner of Brahmanbaria-3 constituency during the tenure of RAM Obaidul Muktadir Chowdhury MP, with a view to renovating the area in an adorable manner. According to a report, over one thousand projects including roads, bridges, office buildings, buildings for educational institutions and 461 big ones at the cost of Tk 5,326,531,839 were implemented during last the fiscal year.

A total of 82.90 kilometer power lines have also added with a view to electrifying more areas of Sadar and Bijoynagar upazilas. Several high-power transmitters and a 10 mw power sub-station were also installed to ensure smooth supply of electricity. The work of more 92.95 km power line is going on.

Every educational institution in the areas has already got at least one high-rise building while some of them have got several ones. At least one multimedia class room has already been introduced at every school, college and madrasa of the area. High-rise multi-purpose buildings have also been constructed at several institutions. The academic building of Brahmanbaria Government College was inaugurated while the masters course of honors subjects were also introduced in order to make the higher education easy for all.

RAM Obaidul Muktadir Chowdhury, the MP of Brahmanbaria-3 and the chairman of the parliamentary standing committee on Ministry of Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs said, "People will see a new look of Brahmanbaria soon. Besides regular projects, several time-befitting mega-projects are going to be implemented here to make modern facilities available for all." About the future infrastructure of Brahmanbaria, he said, "People would have an innovative exterior of the district.

The town will be expanded to the eastern part of Titas River. Sheikh Hasina Sarak from Brahmanbaria to Shimla is going to be constructed to link the eastern areas with the district headquarters. Another Titas bridge is going to be constructed for easing the communication.

One flyover over the rail gate through the town is under construction which will lessen traffic congestion on the main road of the town. Another four-lane flyover is going to be constructed over Poirtala town bypass highway to make the movement of long-haul vehicles in an easy manner.  Two link roads and another bridge will be constructed over Town Khal for quick communication and to remove the prolonged traffic jam, the major misery of the town."

"Titas River, which is playing a vital role in all nine upazilas of the district to make sufficient in food and fishes, will be dredged soon", he added.
