Stands 1st in Ctg div for providing better service

Gouripur Health Complex at Daudkandi in Comilla district has achieved first position in Chittagong division and second in the country for providing better health services.  On Wednesday at a press conference the health complex authority disclosed about the achievement. Daudkandi Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr Md Jalal Hossain read the keynote about the achievement of the hospital.

Daudkandi Upazila Chairman Major Mohammad Ali (Retrd) was present there. He said, as soon as possible the health complex will be brought under CC camera for making it broker free. The hospital was established in 1972 by the Father of the Nation Sheikh Mujibor Rahman at Gouripur. The hospital was the center of the six upazilas of the district. Most of the patients first choice is this one for health services.

Sources said, before few days, the front side of the health complex was filled with wastes. The health complex was grabbed by the illegal brokers which increased the sufferings of patients alarmingly.  While visiting the health complex, Daudkandi Upazila Chairman Major Mohammad Ali observed the situation. He took initiative to clean the hospital premises and a pond nearby.

The he put tiles and modernized the maternity department by his own finance. There was no rest room for the relatives before. Upazila Chairman put an AC in the hospital. Now a days patients get 24 hours non-stop service at this hospital. Now the hospital is first in Chittagong division for ensuring health service. Normal delivery is one of the best health services  in the health complex.
