Prof Salam made VC of State University

Professor Dr Md Sayeed Salam has been appointed Vice-Chancellor of State University of Bangladesh (SUB) on September 23, 2017 by Honorable President Abdul Hamid, the Chancellor for the University.   Dr Salam is a professor and head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. He has many years of overseas and local teaching, research and administrative experience in globally renowned universities and companies.

He obtained his MSc and PhD in Computer Science from the Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia in 1990 and 1995 respectively. He became a member of Australian Computer Society and a senior member of Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineer, USA, in 1997 and 2007 respectively. He has to his credit publications in national and international research journals.

Professor Dr Md Sayeed Salam served as a member of Selection Committee for awarding Undergraduate, Masters and PhD scholarships to students of various universities located in Asia to study at various universities in Europe under Euro 2.97 Million INTACT project of European Commission.
