12th Channel i Music Award conferred

A glamorous music award ceremony to recognize noteworthy contribution of the singers and musicians to the different fields of the country's music scene was held by Channel i on September 29. Channel i Music Award is recognized as the biggest musical arrangement in the country and the 12th edition of this award was held in the city's Bangabandhu International Conference Center.

Twenty Twenty seasoned artistes received awards for their contribution to music at 12th Channel i Music Award. This year, different awards in as many as 18 categories under two segments-critics and popular choice award-were handed over to the winners at a star-studded ceremony.

Renowned singer Khurshid Alam was given a lifetime achievement award, handed over by Ferdausi Rahman. Beforehand, he was received by Channel i's Faridur Reza Sagar and Mukit Majumdar Babu with a honorary sash. Playback singer Sammi Akter was also awarded in the program, although she was not present due to illness.

Khurshid Alam expressed his instant feelings upon receiving the award, "I feel very proud being honoured with this lifetime achievement award in my lifespan."
